The Saint Vincent de Paul Society of St. Rose Parish is a network of friends inspired by Gospel values, growing in holiness, and building a more just world through personal relationships with and service to people in need.
We are a chapter of the international Society. Learn about the Society's history here. Members of our local Society here in St. Rose Parish support our neighbors in need, pray with them, listen to them, and help them in any way we can. We meet on the first Tuesday of the month at 6:30 p.m. in the parish center. All are welcome to attend and learn more about us. As St. Vincent De Paul said: “love God with the strength of your arms.” |
Every year we provide thousands of dollars' worth of merchandise and financial assistance to our neighbors in need in the Belmar community. We help with shelter, food, medical bills, utilities, transportation and other unique requests for assistance. The Society is funded through community donations and its furniture store, Selective Seconds. Most of the Society’s work is done by volunteers who devote countless hours of assistance.
